CEAP doesn’t exist primarily to drive funding to our Recommended Charities. The reviews are intended to guide effective altruism and provide a standard for cost-effective impact from which to compare other charities.
The Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention does research and advocacy to ban highly hazardous pesticides in countries with a high level of pesticide suicides. These bans have more potential to reduce global suicide than any other any other intervention. They may also be the most cost effective way to save lives in general.
